Brownie Heaven - Brownies from Heaven

Put "Eat Chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.      - Anonymous.

If things to do today list starts this easy, rather than walk 4kms, I would happily start my day without complaining of being tortured. Who doesn't love chocolates or anything made of chocolates (Let us not talk about the poor souls who doesn't like chocolates. We don't need that much of negativity around us :) ) Chocolate brownies are one amongst the things that I can never have enough of. When I heard about this young chap baking amazing brownies, thought of giving it a try and eventually forgot that. On one of the foodies meet, a fellow foodie was all praise of these brownies and for the next two days I've been seeing a lot of positive reviews on WCE in FB. I pinged Nishanth through Watsapp and ordered 500gms of filter kaapi and white chocolate brownies each. The brownies can be picked up at two locations in Chennai (Royapettah and Kotturpuram) or get it home delivered for some additional cost. I chose the second option and got them delivered the next day evening for 800 bucks including delivery charges.

The moment I opened the packs, this sweet smell of brownies filled the entire room. It was neatly packed in aluminium foil and perfectly sliced. The brownies were firm on the outside and all soft and gooey inside. It was so soft in the centre, that even after refrigerating it stayed soft. The day it arrived I gobbled almost half of the filter kaapi brownies. It was a bit bitter with neither strong nor mild - in between flavour of filter kaapi. I had them as such. When it comes to chocolate, I don't have patience to warm/heat them and eat and all. Next day, I dunked 2-3 filter kaapi ones directly from the fridge without warming them. And still they tasted heavenly by being extra chewy :)

The white chocolate ones was equally good but more gooey than the filter kaapi ones which I absolutely loved. With a light tinge of cocoa powder, it tasted like the weaker version of milk chocolate. More like caramelised white chocolate brownies. I like my white chocolate ones to be a bit more sweeter and more white in colour. This one was good on its own kind. After all I'm a person who eats her chocolates in any good form. I don't play by the rules for chocolates at least :)

While hogging upon the brownies at midnight (read 2a.m) I suddenly felt like having them with ice cream. Alas, no ice cream in stock and this craving struck to me. Next day bought some ice cream and frozen raspberries. Made toffee sauce and raspberry coulis at home. The white chocolate brownies were truly bliss when tasted with ice cream from hokey pokey and toffee sauce. I ate like 4-5 pieces at a go along with 1/2 ltr ice cream and sauce :)

The young chef Nishanth. the baker behind Brownie Heaven can be reached at 9944923555. There Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/brownieheavenbynishant

Minimum order is 500 gms. U get around 16 bite sized pieces which can feed around 8-10 persons for desserts. If it's me, I can share it with one more person. Just a few pieced though :) The filter kaapi is 325 bucks for 500gms and white chocolate 400 for the same. I paid 800 including delivery charge and for me, every single penny I spent on this was total paisa vasool.

Peace, love, understanding and some chocolate brownies is all you need in life :)
