Mount Mani Iyer Catering - Sabha Canteen Round Up 2015

After a perfect Sunday Sleep, decided to check Mount Mani Iyer's catering at Vidhya Bharathi Kalyana Mandapam, Mylapore. Went there by 1.20 and it was crowded heavily. Waited for about 10 minutes to get a seat. Lunch is priced at 275 bucks (Kids meal available at 150). Got kasi halwa and asoka halwa extra.

 This was the menu :

 Dangar Pachadi
Potato Curry
Plaintain Stem curry
Aviyal
Vaangi bath
Chakka pradhaman
Kadhamba Sambhar
Vendhaya keerai kuzhambu
Pineapple Rasam
Paruppu, ghee, appalam, curd and pickle.

 Every item on the leaf was damn good. Especially the kadhamba sambhar, potato curry and avial was a kickass combo. Pineapple rasam was too good and so was the vendhaya keerai kuzhambu. Only the Vaangi bath missed the mark.










The Kasi halwa and asoka halwa were excellent in taste but again pricey for the quantity. 30gms at Rs.60. For the price, I would like to see some more items like a vadai, some chips and a sweet on the leaf. Other than that no complaints about the meal.
