Login, Besant Nagar - Foodee Buddee Meetup

Last week of December witnessed a lot of foodie meetups. Hanging out with my gang, lunch at Sabha canteens and bloggers meet at few places, dining with dad and so on. One such event was the Foodee Buddee Meetup at the fairly new place at Besant Nagar - Login. Though they opened during the mid of November, the continuous rain in the city didn't let us try this place.

When Pritish from foodeebudee.com invited me for the bloggers meet at this place, I happily accepted. Location wise this place is located on the happening place. A place at the heart of the besant nagar beach avenue, having a multi cuisine menu and soon to have a resto lounge and liquor license (coming soon) Login has many positive things already.

Gloomy lights with a mocktail bar set up at one end and the comfy couches sets in the party mood. Menu is pretty large with humongous choices from North Indian, Oriental and continental cuisines. We left the choice to the Login team and they brought us their signature dishes. We were served a lot of drinks out of which the Drunken Cookie monster and the berry cooler were pretty good. When we were there there was a wings festival going on. So we were served a platter of assorted wings. The siracha wings, and the bbq wings were awesome. Juicy and spicy they were absolutely yumm.

Main course was an array of North Indian, Oriental and Continental dishes. We had an assorted bread basket, rara mutton, chicken kheema masala and kashmiri pulao from the North Indian section. The chicken kheema masala was super delicious with minced chicken and chunks of omelette.

From the Oriental menu we had Mixed vegetables in oyster sauce, veg ball in hot garlic sauce, kung po chicken, veg hakka noodles and schezwan fried rice. The kung pao chicken was sooper spicy but good. The rice was mild in flavour and went well with gravies.

Penne arabiata was enjoyed by fellow foodies. The grilled beef tenderloin accompanied with fries and boiled veggies were pretty okay. It was quiet dry. Some more sauce would've made the meat juicier.

Fried ice cream was perfect with the ice cream being soft and no brain freeze. The darsaan with ice cream was very good. Two scoops of vanilla ice creams with lots of noodles. I felt that the portion of the noodles was much more for the ice cream. The saffron pudding definitely needed more tweaking.

Since the food was on the house, I'm not commenting on the pricing/service part. By looking at the menu and the portion size, pricing seems to be moderate. Food needs some fine tuning which was given as feedback to the management. They took it in a positive spirit. From the quick chat with them, learnt that they are soon opening the ground floor as family restaurant and the first floor will be a lounge bar once they get the liquor licence.

Wishing team Login a big success.
