Nasi & Mee

Eating out has reduced lot these days. After 2 weeks of sabbatical from food at restaurant, I decided to have a sumptuous meal. I was eyeing Nasi & Mee for a long time. I dragged my partner in crime along, even though she visited the place recently (being friends with me isn't easy eh !!). I was going through their menu in Zomato and already made my mind with what to order. Surprisingly, I stood by that (except for one more round of milo :P). Had Szechuan chilli dumpling and sambal prawns for starters. Both were brilliant. Dumplings were awesome with thin skin and generous stuffing. The szechuan chilli oil rendered the spicy note to the dumpling. Sambal prawns were true love for me. Spicy and juicy prawns is all you need. One bite of this hot prawns and a sip of ice blended milo to cool down ur taste buds, is hell of an experience. Chilli crab xiao long bao ordered by Shab was good too. It's basically dumpling filled with soup and crab meat. Crab was fresh and the soup was very flavourful.

A special mention to the dips. Veg sambal was top notch. Caramelised onions and chilli based XO sauce was awesome. I would've finished the jar, if Shab hadn't stopped me. The Vietnamese chilli sauce was way too hot and I couldn't handle a drop of it.

Ice blended milo. One of the two names in the menu that pulled me to Nasi and Mee (other one was laksa). Loved it to the core. Thick and icy, brain freeze drink was absolutely chocolate-y. I couldn't get over it, so ordered one more drink :)

Our main course orders were mamak mee goreng and mee laksa. Portions were pretty good. Laksa smelled divine and the taste was good too. Generous amount of prawn and chicken (I opted for the mixed meat version) in a flavourful coconut broth with perfectly cooked noodles was yummy. I was so full with the starters, I couldn't go beyond couple of spoons. I got it packed. Mamak mee goreng was very good with juicy chunks of chicken.

Paid 2400 bucks in total. May seem a little pricey, but I felt the food made justice to the pricing. Loved the quick and attentive service. From refilling water to clearing the table, everything was prompt. And they waited patiently for us to finish clicking pics before serving :P
